The main objective of the Green Startup Cup is to support and accelerate innovative solutions that can spearhead the green transition in Denmark. Because today many great ideas are lost in the early phases. Achieving Net Zero in Denmark and ensuring green growth is only possible if these ideas gain flying height as soon as possible.
In April we launched the Green Startup Cup and invited everyone with a bright, green idea to apply. And more than 100 fantastic startups did. Out of this amazing pool of startups we selected 12 to pitch their ideas for a greener future to a panel of experienced judges.
Check out the video and article to learn more about the semi-finalists, the event day at Børssalen and this year’s winner: Stykka
The 12 semifinalists pitched a variety of innovative ideas ranging from sustainable fashion to packaging, decarbonization, construction, logistics, food and many more. Out of this pool of startups four made it to the finals:
Klimate.co offer tailored carbon removal portfolios as well as reports, data and communication tools to enable their clients to decarbonize and communicate their efforts.
Stykka produce high quality interiors that are designed for easy repair and upgrading based on their circular design framework that allows for lasting products that can be recirculated.
FoodOp provides a menu planning platform based on their innovative technology to measure food waste and guest preferences in commercial kitchens.
Cellugy developed cellulose-based materials from excess sugar that can serve as a biodegradable, non-toxic and recyclable alternative to plastic packaging.
“We empower responsible companies to achieve Net Zero and accelerate carbon removal technologies.”
“We disrupt the construction industry by making sustainable solutions that are designed to outlast and outperform.”
“We enable more sustainable, profitable and enjoyable food services with engaged chefs and happy guests.”
“We develop sustainable, high-performance materials that meet the industry needs without jeopardizing the planet’s health.”
