Social impact projects are a core part of our work at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), and we dedicate significant resources every year to address some of the most complex problems in society. In 2018, we focused on gender diversity, food waste, and ocean cleanup among many other important issues.
Year after year working on societal issues has been a part of BCG’s DNA since Bruce Henderson founded the firm more than 50 years ago.
Today, his legacy continues to inspire everyone at BCG to put ideas forward—through client work and pro bono efforts—that make a positive impact beyond the traditional business domain.
This goes for all BCG offices around the world and Copenhagen is no exception. In 2018, we focused on societal issues such as gender diversity, food waste, ocean cleanup, integration, climate changes, child stunting in Tanzania etc.
However, we did not do it alone – more than 25 extraordinary organizations were involved. Organizations that improve the lives of millions of people and advance the world toward a more sustainable future. Including, among others, UN Women, Food Nation, Salling Group, WWF and WFP.
The 2019 report is here
In June 2019 we released our annual Social Impact report where you can read all about last year’s initiatives in-depth, and learn more about the issues, collaborations, and the results of our work. In the publication, consultants also share their experiences and insights from the projects.
Going forward, social impact at BCG in Denmark will continue to focus on collaborating with impactful non-profit organizations and partners to drive change.
We will contribute in key areas of competencies, including diversity, integration, innovation, and bring the environment and ringing critical stakeholders to the table, leveraging insights and abilities across the public, private, and social sectors.
